Who doesn't love indulging in a slice of rich, decadent chocolate cake? Today, I'm here to share with you a moist chocolate cake recipe that will surely satisfy your sweet cravings. What's the secret ingredient, you ask? A cup of hot coffee added to the batter right before baking!


The Magic Ingredient: Hot Coffee


Yes, you read that right, hot coffee! Adding a cup of freshly brewed hot coffee to the chocolate cake batter may seem unconventional, but trust me, it works wonders. The coffee enhances the depth of the chocolate flavor without overpowering it, resulting in a cake that's moist, rich, and utterly irresistible.

Ingredients:


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups brown sugar

  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup hot brewed coffee

  • Chocolate cream cheese frosting.


Instructions:


  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round 9 inch baking pans.

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  • Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil or butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

  • Carefully pour in the hot coffee and stir until the batter is smooth.

  • Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  • Allow the cake to cool before adding icing. Enjoy a slice of this moist chocolatey goodness!
